We’re getting ready for the holidays in the kitchen. Carleen Crew of the Catering Kings and Carmi Family Restaurant invited LaMarr & Michele to her home for some soulful fun. We had such a good time we couldn’t finish in one show. Here is Part 1.

Ham Recipe
Ingredients:
5 lb round ham sliced into half moons
1 can crushed pineapple including juices
1/2 c brown sugar
1 tsp Ground cloves
1/4 c pineapple juice (additional)
1 tsp cornstarch
Directions:
Preheat oven at 350. Layer sliced ham into pan. In small sauce pan Sautee pineapple including liquid, brown sugar, clove, once bubbly. Dissolve cornstarch in additional pineapple juice add slowly to hot pot. Once the contents of pan thickens, pour over ham and bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs, loosely covered.
Cabbage
Ingredients:
16 cups of water
1 lb of smoked Turkey
1 chopped whole onion
2 chopped garlic cloves
1 T seasoned salt
2t of Black Pepper
1t Crushed pepper flakes
2 heads of cabbage
1 lb of baby carrots
Directions:
Place water, turkey,onion, garlic, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper simmer in pan for about 1hr. Place cabbage and carrots in pot and simmer for an additional 45 minutes.
